MES Engineer

In this role you will support and drive projects with the MES (Manufacturing Execution Systems) engineering team. You will collaborate with engineers, managers, supervisors, and operators to help drive improvements throughout the i54 facilities by developing MES applications and hardware implementations to support our continuous improvement culture.
What you will be responsible for
- Lead definition, development, testing, and integration of MES solutions
- Utilize Ignition software for front end application design and development for MES
- Support, troubleshoot, and maintain current applications and hardware
- Integrate solutions with ERP data to drive faster and easier decisions
- Develop SQL based reports based on MES and operational data
- Develop data acquisition systems by working closely with controls engineers
- Integrate data historians for future machine learning capabilities
- Maintain, analyze, and participate in modifications to existing systems
- Manage the day-to-day related MES issues and delegate to other team members, as necessary
- Support project teams to help drive continuous improvement
- 24/7 technical support to ensure appropriate response and resolution to manufacturing issues are met
- Support corporate goals and objectives
What you will already have
- Previous experience in a similar role and happiest in a fast paced environment
- Proven experience in delivering data driven solutions
- Excellent at multi tasking and working with competing priorities
- Technical understanding of computer programming and application development
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work in a cross-functional and collaborative team environment
- Demonstrated project management skills, adherence to timelines, stakeholder communication
- Knowledge of Windows based systems and MS Office Suite
- A solutions focused mindset
