Our client are a leading provider of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) tailored for the life sciences sector, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, cell and gene therapy, and medical devices. Their flagship product, is a web-based MES designed to enhance compliance, control, and execution within regulated Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) facilities.

With over 100 validated sites and more than 5,000 users across 15 countries, their product is one of the most widely used MES solutions in the healthcare products industries.

 

 

The Vice President of Product Management will be responsible for leading the product vision, strategy, and execution for all software product lines produced by the company. This role will collaborate with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure the successful development and launch of high-impact products that align with business goals and customer needs.

 

• From a position of deep understanding of strategic and competitive position, drive the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative new products and add-on features to existing products. 
• Conduct market research, competitive analysis, usability studies, and customer feedback loops to identify opportunities for new products and enhancements. Run beta and pilot programs with early stage products and samples.
• Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap(s) that drive business growth and customer satisfaction. Through consensus, establish a shared product vision across the company on priorities leading to product execution. 
• Maintain an excellent understanding of the company’s long term goals and strategy and ensure that the goals and activities of the company’s product management efforts are aligned with said goals.
• Partner with the Sales team to develop the core positioning and messaging for each of product and service, including development of go-to-market strategies for new products and features.
• Collaborate with the Sales team to conduct product demos for customers, assist in RFPs responses, and gather customer requirements.
• Collaborate with the Engineering team to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery.
• Lead and mentor a team of product development specialists, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in product management.
• Act as a contributing member of the company executive team, providing guidance, thought leadership, and reporting as required.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in the Life Sciences industry.
• 8+ years of experience in product management, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of successfully launching and scaling products in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Deep understanding of overall solution architecture, and the ability to articulate said understanding to teammates and customers.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies and cross-functional teams.
• Experience working with Azure DevOps.
