Salary Range: $65,000 – $85,000 per year
Our client is looking for a MES Operations Engineer to support projects across North America. If you’re passionate about manufacturing technology and love solving complex process challenges with smart software, this could be a great fit for you.
This role is hands-on, working closely with customers to roll out Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) that make their production more efficient and cost-effective.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Act as a go-to expert for implementing MES solutions.
- Lead workshops with customer teams to dive into and document their manufacturing processes.
- Define what the MES setup needs to look like—both functionally and technically.
- Help configure and roll out MES within manufacturing environments and IT systems.
- Run training sessions (in-person or virtual) to make sure teams are confident using the tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any tech hiccups during implementation.
- Advise customers on how to get the most out of the solutions to improve operations.
- Provide technical support tied to manufacturing workflows.
- Collaborate on product development based on real-world use cases from customers.
- Use data from the MES system to find ways to improve processes and reduce costs.
- Work alongside engineers and teams to streamline operations and solve any system issues.
- Map out existing data flows, uncover process gaps, and align MES tools to customer needs.
- Deliver great service—not just to customers, but also internally to your teammates.
- Balance multiple projects at once—sometimes owning a specific part, other times leading the whole thing.
What You’ll Bring:
- Solid knowledge of manufacturing processes and logistics.
- Strong general IT skills.
- Experience rolling out software solutions in manufacturing environments.
Bonus if you have:
- Hands-on experience with shop floor operations (machining, fabrication, assembly, etc.).
- A background in quality management—whether that’s quality control, assurance, or inspection.
- Production planning experience, including familiarity with ERP, MRP, and scheduling tools.
- The ability to communicate confidently with senior-level decision-makers and engineers.
- Strong written and verbal English skills.
- Willingness and ability to travel.
- A proactive, flexible attitude and strong personal initiative.
- Professionalism in how you present yourself and your work.
- US citizenship or permanent residency.
Nice to have:
- A second language—Spanish, German, French, or Portuguese.
Perks & Benefits:
- Work with a fast-growing, independent company that’s part of a global success story.
- Flat structure and quick decision-making.
- A collaborative, ambitious, and supportive team.
- Quarterly performance incentives (paid monthly).
- Paid vacation, holidays, and sick leave.
- 401(k) and Roth 401(k) options.
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Company-paid basic life and short-term disability insurance.
- Optional benefits like long-term disability, identity theft, and legal insurance.
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP).
- Hybrid work setup—once you’re trained up, expect to be in the office 2–3 days a week to connect with the team.
