Key Responsibilities:

1. System Implementation and Integration:

   • Lead the deployment of MES solutions across manufacturing plants.
   • Integrate MES with other enterprise systems like ERP, PLM, SCADA, and PLCs to ensure seamless data flow.
   • Coordinate with IT and operations teams to ensure successful system integration.

2. Project Management:

   • Manage MES-related projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget.
   • Develop project plans, timelines, and milestones, and track progress.
   • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including IT, production, quality assurance, and operations.

3. Technical Leadership:

   • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the MES development and support teams.
   • Lead the design and architecture of MES solutions to meet business requirements and industry standards.
   • Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices in software development.

4. Customization and Configuration:

   • Customize and configure MES software to meet specific manufacturing processes and requirements.
   • Develop custom reports, dashboards, and user interfaces as needed.

5. System Maintenance and Support:

   • Ensure the MES is operating efficiently and resolve any technical issues.
   • Manage system upgrades, patches, and maintenance activities.
   • Provide ongoing support and training to end-users.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

   • Analyze manufacturing data captured by the MES to identify trends and areas for improvement.
   • Develop and maintain comprehensive reporting systems for production metrics, quality control, and operational performance.

7. Compliance and Quality Assurance:

   • Ensure MES solutions comply with industry regulations and quality standards.
   • Implement and maintain validation protocols and documentation for the MES.

8. Continuous Improvement:

   • Identify opportunities for process improvements and leverage MES capabilities to enhance efficiency.
   • Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in MES technologies and manufacturing best practices.

9. Stakeholder Communication:

   • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
   • Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in MES implementation and support, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong technical expertise in MES solutions (e.g., Siemens Opcenter, Rockwell Automation, Aveva, etc.).
• Proficiency in integrating MES with ERP, PLM, SCADA, and PLC systems.
• Demonstrated experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex manufacturing data.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• A degree in a relevant field.
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
• Knowledge of advanced data analytics and reporting tools.
